Application of medical endoscope cold light source in the medical field

Surgical shadowless lamps are a major highlight in the field of operating room lighting equipment. During the lighting process, shadowless lamps can control the light more finely and cover a wider area, providing medical staff with an excellent surgical field of view. Surgical shadowless lamps fundamentally break through the limitations of traditional surgical lamps, such as non adjustable color temperature and high temperature rise, and solve the problems of visual fatigue and high temperature rise in surgical areas for medical staff working for long periods of time.

At present, the application of medical headlights, light curing machines, cold light sources, and intraocular lighting equipment is increasing day by day, and many manufacturing enterprises have successively launched medical equipment as lighting sources.

Human tissues have the characteristic of spontaneously producing fluorescence. When exposed to ultraviolet and blue excitation light, they will emit a faint fluorescence. Previous studies have shown that the fluorescence produced by irradiation on tumors is significantly different from that produced by irradiation on healthy tissues. Endoscopic equipment uses narrowband light sources to excite fluorescence for diagnosis, and can be used for the diagnosis of early cancers of the middle and lower pharynx, esophageal epithelial carcinoma, early gastric cancer, early colorectal cancer, and other diseases. The use of specific wavelength contrast agents in ophthalmic OCT for the diagnosis of retinal diseases.

Fluorescence microscopes use single band or multi band fluorescent devices that can be used immediately after startup, unlike mercury or xenon lamps that require preheating before use. In addition, fluorescence microscopy also has the characteristics of good stability and good fluorescence excitation.

Optical therapy equipment is another important area of development. The commonly used phototherapy includes red light, blue light, blue violet light, and multispectral therapy. By changing the semiconductor material, the desired wavelength of light for treatment can be obtained without worrying about the effects of stray light. In addition, two or more combinations can be packaged to meet the needs of different phototherapy. The cold light source of medical endoscopes has opened up the way for the multifunctionality of phototherapy instruments. At present, red, blue, and yellow light therapy devices have been developed, mainly used for the treatment of capillary dilation, pigmentation, and other problems. Baby blue light therapy device, using blue light as the light source, is used to treat neonatal jaundice. With the development of technology, infrared and ultraviolet LEDs will be more widely used in phototherapy equipment
